Marriage is a covenant between God, a man and woman. One of the things the Word of God says is to keep the covenant of marriage. God is a God of covenant and this can be seen throughout the Bible in His relationship with Abraham, Noah and other saints.
Not only is God a God of covenant, He doesn’t break His side of the covenant, but is a covenant keeper. God’s Word says: My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. (Psalm 89:34). As His child, you should follow His footsteps and be a keeper of your marriage covenant relationship.
Marriage is meant to be exciting, if the marriage covenant is kept in tact. I’m glad to say I’m enjoying the goodness of God in my marriage tremendously. As God is no respecter of persons; what He has done for me, He will do for anyone else, who cares to heed the conditions of the marriage covenant. Marriage is gold, and like most precious metals, one must invest time and resources to secure it and fashion it into a jewel of great price. Hebrews 3:4 says: For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. Since God built marriage, He has created all that it would take to make it work.
Man on his own part needs to abide by God’s principle and implement His plan. God has said: Husbands, love your wives. and to the woman He said: Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husband. Ephesians 5:25 and 22 If the man and the woman want to experience the gold in marriage, they must do as God says, without circumventing His laid
